The school week and times of the day
Our school week currently offers:
- 32 hours and 5 minutes in EYFS (32.1 hours).
- 32 hours and 30 minutes in KS1 and KS2 (32.5 hours)
The current timings of the school day are as follows:
Start of the day
The school day starts at 8.45am and gates are open from 8:35 until 8.45am
Children in Reception and Year 1 should always enter via the main gates on School Lane.
All other year groups can come into school via the gate which bests suits them.
Lunchtime
For Reception, lunchtime starts at 11.45am and ends at 1.00pm
For years 1, 2 and 3, lunchtime starts at 12noon and ends at 1.00pm
For years 4, 5 and 6, lunchtime starts at 12.30pm and ends at 1.30pm
End of the day
Children in Reception finish their day at 3.10pm. They are picked up from their rainbow fencing outside their classrooms.
Children in Year 1 finish their day at 3.15pm. They are picked up from the bottom of the stairs closest to their classrooms.
Children in Year 2 finish their day at 3.15pm. They are picked up from the North Playground. Entry is via the large green gates at the top of the field on Chiltington Way and families walk a circular route to exit the playground from the small green gate by the bike shed.
Children in Year 3 finish their day at 3.15pm. They are picked up from the North Playground. Entry is via the large green gates at the top of the field on Chiltington Way and families walk a circular route to exit the playground from the small green gate by the bike shed.
Children in Year 4 finish their day at 3.15pm. They are picked up from the Court - parents/carers come into school via the gates on School Lane
Children in Year 5 finish their day at 3.15pm. They are picked up from the North Playground. Entry is via the large green gates at the top of the field on Chiltington Way and families walk a circular route to exit the playground from the small green gate by the bike shed. Families can give permission for Year 5 to be able to walk home- Permission forms are on the Proforma page.
Children in Year 6 finish their day at 3.15pm. The leave the school via the Kitchen Gate on School Lane, with parents and carers waiting outside for them, unless they have permission to walk home.
