As part of our water topic this term, we will be taking children to XXXXXXXXXX to learn more about water and its uses on Thursday 26th March 2020. This will involve an orientation walk to the white horse, a fieldwork study and a chance to go pond dipping. They will be using maps and discussing how rivers are formed and how they evolve.
The children will need:
- Packed lunch/Snack (No nuts allowed)
- Named water bottle
- Sensible walking shoes/wellington boots
- Sensible outdoor trousers
- School uniform t-shirt and jumper
- Warm/weather proof coat
- Weather dependent- suncream/sun hat etc
- Anti-bacterial hand gel (optional)
The children will need to arrive at school at the slightly earlier time of 8.30am and go through the front office. They will then be registered in the North Hall and the coach will be departing at 8.45am (please ensure children are prompt). The children will return to school at approximately 3.15pm (traffic dependent) and should be picked up from the usual Year 4 pick-up point in School Lane. You will be notified by text message if we are late to return.
