Welcome to the Year 3 page!
Happy New Year and welcome back to everyone in Year 3. This term our time machine takes us even further back into the past, beyond the Ancient Egyptians, to the Stone Age. We have already begun to transform our shared area by making some fabulous and atmospheric cave paintings like the those in the caves of Lascaux, France. Not surprisingly, we will also be learning about rocks this term, classifying and examining them. If you have some interesting rocks at home that you think would be worth a look under a magnifying glass, make sure to bring them in. Later in the term we will learn how the Stone Age gave way to the Iron Age and who those curious Celts were?! For more information about what we are learning this term, make sure to look at our topic web.
As always, we will be sending home homework each week on a Friday, with regular Maths and spelling activities in addition to topic related work. Reading Records should be brought in every day and aim to fill them in at least 3 times a week to keep on track with your reading. We love to hear what books you are all reading!
