Welcome to the Year 3 page!
12th April 2018
We hope you all had a lovely Easter break. It was wonderful to see all the children again and their impressive and imaginative homework projects. If you haven't had time, there is still one more week for you to have a go at this activity.
To start our new topic Year 3 went on a Spring Watch! We toured the school looking for signs of Spring and were excited to find flowers, blossom, bees and buds under every bush and on every branch. To bring nature into our classrooms we also planted some marigold seeds in individually labelled pots. We can't wait to watch them grow as Spring turns into Summer.
To find out more about our new topic please see our topic web: Into the secret garden...
Why not join us on our mission to experience Spring to the full? Download a copy of this Spring activity sheet which we will be trying to complete as a class. If you do any of the challenges be sure to take a photo, draw a picture or write a diary entry, ready to share with the class
A list of the top 200 high frequency words we use can be found here.
As always, we will be sending home homework each week on a Friday, with regular Maths and spelling activities in addition to topic related work. Reading Records should be brought in every day and aim to fill them in at least 3 times a week to keep on track with your reading. We love to hear what books you are all reading!
