Year 1 Trip!
YEAR 1 TRIP
As you know, next term our topic is ‘Stuck in the Mud’ and we will be learning about farms.
As part of this topic we have planned a fantastic trip on Wednesday 9th May. This is a great opportunity to provide the children with a real life context and bring their learning to life. Activities included are: a tour, animal feed, animal handling and a tractor ride!
We will leave school at approximately 9.05am so please ensure your child arrives at school promptly to allow us time to register and prepare the children for the trip. We will return to school at approximately 2.45 pm meaning the normal pick up time of 3.00pm will be in place. All children will need a packed lunch for a picnic (we have use of shelters, should the weather be unkind).
In order for the children to be warm and safe during the trip, we would advise that they wear wellies/outdoor boots, a waterproof coat and warm non-school uniform.
If your child suffers from travel sickness, please prepare them for the journey. Travel sickness tablets may be required before school. Please also inform your child’s class teacher if your child often suffers with travel sickness so that they can be placed near an adult.
A contribution of £14.00 per pupil is suggested. This includes the entrance, activities, insurance and the cost of the coaches. There is no obligation to contribute and no pupil in the group will be omitted from the trip but without substantial voluntary contributions the trip may have to be cancelled.
Please sign and return your slip by Wednesday 25th April.
